Klaus notarizes both national and international M&A and real estate transactions, in each case drawing upon his extensive experience as an M&A and real estate attorney.  Further, he is involved in day-to-day corporate and real estate matters.

Before joining SCHIEDERMAIR, Klaus was a partner at Mayer Brown LLP for many years, advising on domestic and cross-border real estate and M&A transactions.

From 1993 to 1995 he served as an Assistant Lecturer at the Institute for Commercial and Trade Law of the University of Marburg, where he also earned a Ph.D. degree for his thesis on the liability of an acquirer of shares in a limited liability company. From 1990 to 1993, he completed his legal traineeship in Lübeck, Kiel, Frankfurt am Main, and Paris and passed the bar exam in Hamburg with honors in 1993. From 1985 to 1990 he studied law in Freiburg, Lausanne, and Hamburg.  In 1988 he completed a stint at the German-Belgian- Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Brussels.  In 1987 he was a trainee at Herbert Smith in London and in 1986 at the Vereins-und Westbank in Hamburg.
