Alexander litigates before German courts as well as before national and international arbitration tribunals. He focuses on shareholder disputes. Within the scope of his litigation practice, Alexander compiles and analyzes facts and, where appropriate, he cooperates with third parties, such as accounting firms, private investigators, etc.  Alexander develops a goal-oriented litigation strategy. Subsequently, he enforces his clients’ rights. His expertise includes aspects related to litigation, including reputation management, litigation PR, etc.

Alexander also accompanies corporations, their corporate bodies, and shareholders, for example, at shareholders’ meetings regarding (potential) disputes over deficiencies in decision-making, withdrawals and disputes among shareholders, and enforcing shareholders’ rights. He also handles liability issues and questions concerning a corporation’s articles of incorporation.

Alexander additionally provides ongoing corporate housekeeping and external legal department services to various German and non-German clients, as well as ongoing advice to managing directors in management and liability matters. He accompanies corporate clients from the preparatory phase of corporate transactions to legal due diligence and post-merger integration. He has developed a special expertise in issues concerning company valuations.

Alexander’s range of advice covers all areas of commercial and corporate law, as well as related areas of business law (e.g. labor and employment law and insolvency law). His litigation experience, and his profound knowledge of markets and business practices, enables him also to prepare and negotiate contracts in a forward-looking and efficient manner.

Alexander has been a German Attorney at Law since 2012 and a Junior Partner at SCHIEDERMAIR since 2017. He specializes in business law and litigation.

Prior to his legal practice, Alexander completed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Frankfurt from 2010 to 2011 with a theoretical and practical focus on commercial and corporate law as well as labor and employment law.

During his legal education, Alexander initially worked as a student trainee and as a Research Assistant at a national German law firm in Frankfurt. He sharpened his entrepreneurial perspective in the Legal Departments of Deutsche Bahn AG, Dresdner Bank AG and as a consultant in the group of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.

Alexander studied law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt and also lived in Washington D.C. for three years.
